About Me
Sometimes, the prospect of coming for counselling can feel a little daunting - especially when making that first call to book an appointment. This is all perfectly understandable. So if you're feeling at all concerned it may help if I tell you something about myself and the services I can offer you.

I began to think about training as a counsellor more than fourteen years ago, when my own difficulties with work-related stress brought me into contact with the world of therapy. For many years my previous career had been in management and it's not uncommon for people who have had their own life-changing experiences, to make the decision to train as a counsellor. This was certainly the path that I took. Since that time, I feel that I've continued to benefit from my training as a counsellor and from attending therapy.

Because of this, I'm passionate about my work and have continued to learn and gain specialist skills to enable me to help many people across a range of commonly experienced problems including relationships, addictions, anxiety and depression.
As well as being a qualified BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am an NHS trained, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited with BABCP the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists. In addition, I am a qualified Hypnotherapist and a registered practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Register. If you have access to private medical cover, then you may be interested to know that I am also a registered healthcare provider with all the major insurers.
